Soul Grinder is a horde survival action rogue-like. Survive an onslaught of enemies with necromancy and dark magic at your disposal! Try to survive as long as you can and collect  gems to upgrade your power.

Details

I built Soul Grinder over the course of two weeks as personal challenge and break from my main project. I wanted to try building a game like vampire survivors with a twist of necromancy. Ultimately the game felt less original than I wanted. There's a lot more features I would like to have added but I decided to move forward with different projects. Still, I'm happy with how the game turned out and how much I was able to accomplish in such a short time span.

I'm not gonna sugar coat it.

I really love this game. Made it to minute 24 or so, after that it really started to lag on mobile. Also would you mind telling me what type of game this is . its 2d but you can move in all directions. I wanna start programming to and i will need to look up some tutorials. Thanks :)

Hey sorry about the performance problems on mobile! There are some optimizations that should be done. It sounds like you want to make a top down game.

WOW man, ! very nice system! i love this mechanic game!
I tried to clone the system but the enemies overlap each other, man this is frustrating! Did you just use colliders?

Thanks! Enemy collision was a bit tough to get right, I tried a lot of things and ended up just using Construct 3's physic engine.

Thanks for the reply!
Great job, I'm looking forward to new updates! Cheers

Aaah.. so difficult, I only can stay alive for 1 minute. Maybe if the enemies are a bit slower? .. Nice job so far :)

Thank you! I agree it is a bit too hard at the moment ahah. My best is just over 10 minutes. I think I will have player speed upgrades to compensate for enemy speed.
